Santa Claus visit to our private school: An unforgettable day for the children

On December 6th, the day finally arrived: St. Nicholas and his faithful companion, Schmutzli, visited our private school, bringing joy to the children. The visit was a highlight of the year and a very special moment that the children had been eagerly anticipating and preparing for. For several days before St. Nicholas's visit, the children practiced rhymes and songs so they could bring joy to St. Nicholas and Schmutzli.

When the school bell rang, the children were incredibly excited – full of anticipation, they rushed to the door to see who was there. When the door opened, Santa Claus and his helper, Schmutzli, stood before them and greeted the children with a hearty "Ho, ho, ho!" They both cheerfully entered the school.

Santa Claus sat down in front of the children with his large, heavy book and began greeting each one with a warm smile and a personal word. He read aloud from his thick book, which contained all the children's good deeds and kindnesses. The children's eyes shone as they heard about the positive experiences Santa Claus knew about them and shared with them. It was a special moment that captivated everyone.

Afterwards, the children had the opportunity to show Santa Claus and his helper what they could do: They sang cheerful songs and recited a beautiful poem. The excitement was palpable when Schmutzli finally opened the overflowing sack. With a smile, he placed it in the middle of the room, and the children were delighted with a delicious selection of nuts, tangerines, and chocolate – a sweet end to a special afternoon.

The visit from St. Nicholas was not only a joyous occasion for all the children, but also a wonderful opportunity to experience community and enjoy beautiful traditions. It was a thoroughly successful event that will be remembered for a long time.

We thank Santa Claus and his helper for their visit and look forward to next year!
